My older son with classic autism had widely varying IQ scores on a recent IQ test. His overall IQ was average.

My younger son, whom I say is AS and has been diagnosed with OCD, has some pretty amazing visual memory skills, and I suspect him to have a high IQ overall. He has fewer learning issues than my older son; however, in some ways, he actually seems more autistic--sensory issues, specific interests, etc.

Technically, they should probably both be labeled HFA, I suppose, since they have both had speech issues. (Severe for my older son, moderate for my younger son).
