Have you never been to a party? (college type or non family)

Nope.

I went to one. There were a lot of people there, and they were playing very loud music.

It was overwhelming and I left. I walked away from the party, and kept walking for about an hour and then I found a closed mall with a pay phone and called to get a ride home. For most of the time I was walking I didn't know where I could go to make a call, but I really really didn't want to go back.

I don't think I would try going to another party; I don't like being around more than one person at a time and I don't like loud music.

I never went to any parties in college because:
1-I didn't have friends
2-Too much noise
3-Too much alcohol.

No, i don't like them. My friends are all into getting drunk and doing other stupid things, which I frown upon, and I get quite scared of drunk people too, plus I dont like loud music, nor will I dance, so I'd end up sat on my own lol. I dont particularly want to see my friends when they are drunk either, especially as they will try to force me to dance...

I used to get invited, and they'd say, oh just turn up for an hour or so before everyones drunk to show your face, but now they dont bother inviting me, which in a way is good, i dont have to keep thinking up excuses anymore.

I keep myself far away from parties. They are disgusting. I often can see some parties and I say Even yoghurt has more culture! (in Polish culture means also good manners)

I've been to a few. They're kind of boring, unless you have a lot of alcohol.

I like going out. I also liked parties at the university.

I've been to a couple of wild parties. I got drunk, both times. It wasn't all that it was cracked up to be.

I've never cared much for parties, the few times I've been it was against my will. When I lived with my parents, we often feuded about my desire to not go places, so they would pressure me to go to parties with my sister, then get mad at me if I didn't have a good time.

I was so glad when my sister moved out and that stopped, but she moved back in and it started again. Eventually I moved out, and was finally free.

I avoid them like the plague. All that noise and chaos drives me bonkers. I cant understand what they are saying to me. I cant make them understand what I am saying to them. And if I could either I would not be interested anyway in smalltalking.

Yeah, I went to a few in college but I was dragged. My freshman year I completely broke down at one and went to tears because I didn't understand what the point was and it upset me that all those people were acting so happy when I knew no one really cared about anyone else there. I didn't go to many after that. I never understood them. I preferred to hang out alone or with one other person.

Yep. I drink too much and say stupid things. A few times ended up in a bed with someone.

I've been to plenty, I actually really enjoy them. It takes some effort to motivate myself to go if I'm not planning on meeting someone beforehand and walking in with them (and I don't go unless I will run into someone I know there), but when I do I usually always enjoy myself.

When I was between the ages of 18 and 22 I went to A LOT of parties but.......I just don't care to anymore. Too many bad things happened when I got drunk.......and I'd over do it because of all the people. Just thinking about going to a party now scares the crap out of me.

I just will exploit this thread to say that something that really bothers me is that I have never thrown a party. Ever. In my life. It grieves me. I thought I would throw one at some point but I never have. I'm sad about it. I wonder if I am the only one.
