I am very light sensitive, so I don't particularly like the summer, but I don't hate it either.

Oh YES. "The Hell of Sunlight & Summer" <-- those are some of the reasons it's even harder for me to be outside in the summer than any other time of the year. It's too bright, too hot, there are too many people, it's too noisy, & I could go on & on about all of the reasons I hate the sun & summer. I actually wrote a poem about it a couple days ago lol.

When I was little I loved summer because I didnt have to go to the torture chamber (school) but I am also light sensitive. I do like the evenings. I spent most of my childhood in Illinois and I miss all the BBQs and fireflies....but do not miss the horrible humidity. My 5 year old autie is very sensitive to heat and we are going to Alabama and Illinois in July to see family before we move to France. I have a few ideas to keep her cool. Im going to get some cold packs and one of those spray bottles with a fan on it.

I really really hate the summer! It is way too hot and the heat makes me physically ill as well as giving me a headache. I am a pale skinned redhead so I burn very easily also. I don't really notice the sun being any brighter in the summer, it is unbearably bright all year. Actually it's worst in the winter after snowfall and it bounces off the snow. Way too bright. The best season is autumn, and spring is okay as well except this year my part of the world decided it didn't need spring and went straight from winter into summer. Not cool Canada. Not cool.

I'm fortunate to live in such a low-moderate region, it rains often (providing an excuse to stay indoors), the winters are mild (barely any snowfall), the summers have at most a month of high temperatures ( more than 30°C) and the Spring and Autumn are moderate aswell.
My small, insignificant country may be hidden away between global giants but the biggest natural threat we face is some mild flooding.

you are located in a great place. i'd be happy there as well.
in the great northwest, it is somewhat temperate, in that i didn't need to use the A/C for more than 3 weeks in a row last summer. when the sun was oppressively bright and hot during that period, i just pulled the drapes closed, kept the A/C humming and chilled out. i would go outside only after sunset to do errands. otherwise here, it snows occasionally. occasional high winds. much gentle rain.

Summers in Texas are literally hell! Texas probably has some of the hottest summers in the country. That's one aspect of summer that I dislike.

However, since I'm still in school, summers for me are synonymous with school being out. Also, I don't have to wear as much clothing in the summer as I do during the other seasons. It's nice to get up in the morning and only have to slip on a t-shirt, shorts, and sandals. :)

my time in texas encompassed both the cold and hot parts- january to june. san antonio was one of the most humid and hot places i ever got to experience, outside of washington d.c. but march and april were ok.

I've only been to Austin and that was in December or January and it was colder than it was up here in Idaho and there was no snow up here but snow down in Austin. I was really surprised.

Bright, intense sunlight always hurt my eyes. I perfer overcast, rainy days. I never understood why people cancel things because of rain, they won't melt and their is an invention called an umbrella. I love to go to zoos in the rain because the sun isn't out, there is usualy only like two other people there and some animals absouelty LOVE to play in the rain. I don't mind getting wet even on days one could say it is "raining cats and dogs" and there are huge, deep puddles everywhere and your clothes look as if you jumped into a swimming pool.

I hate cold and snow. I love the heat and sunlight. I couldn't stand the brutal New York winters.

I'm not looking forward to summer, at all. I'll be glad, when it's over.

I have a love/hate relationship with summer weather. I like not being cold and the sun makes me motivated in the morning and I like wearing tshirts instead of having to dress in layers.
But I don't like having the sunlight in my eyes and I can't stand being too hot, and I hate having to go in cars in summer. Also I live in England and we have s**t summers.

I think summer is cute. It makes me more active and perhaps happier. Also the daytime is longer, and its nice to have sunbathe :)

Summer is a plague. The vomited light discourages my skeleton and warps my brain. When I walk in the rain or sleep in the foggy shade I dream of the days of old-- Victorian haze and dripping gauze, gray.

I walk everywhere and it is a b***h in the heat and humidity. I tend to wait for darkness when it is cooler to walk some place. Even when I was in shape I could take the heat humidity.
