the "OP" is a worried parent of a young child. If I saw/heard someone reacting to a woman in the street like that then I would send that person home with their teeth in their pocket. Get me?

The reaction was wrong and the tone was appalling given the situation.

Having Aspergers is not an excuse to be an a***hole.

It's called Asperger's Syndrome, not jackass syndrome. I tried to make light of the situation with my first response, than I was more mature with my second response, but I would never respond in an abusive manner. The woman wants the best for her child. I might not agree with what it is, but I am learning to be more gentle towards her kind, with my responses.

Wasn't getting at you dude. I'm all for flippancy on forums. My comment was aimed at Mr Snipes "I can be rude to women on the internet" 128.

You don't speak for aspies, nor autistics in general.

Thankfully, neither do you. You do, however, represent a***holes quite effectively.

I went through many years of testing and diets and doctors and "guinea-pig" treatments (I was a Ritalin test case) and it was ABSOLUTE HELL.

A couple years later when I was being physically abused outside the home, I wouldn't tell my parents because I thought it would mean more of that type of treatment. I just kept my mouth shut because home-life at that moment was relatively peaceful.

Think of what the child is going through and how the child experiences it.
Its not about you or what you want. Its about a person and how they are going to experience the world for the rest of their life.

And quit bickering. You sound like anti-social little kids. Wait, I guess we all are to some extent.
