not everything can be resolved. Not having a resolution to something produces stress. It is good to have a stress site when things can't be resolved.

If stress can be resolved then that is something resolved. Even if only temporarily.

In my experience of life, nothing is ever really 'resolved'. Everything is in flux, always.

The site has been very useful in having various questions answered. More useful than Google.

One very important aspect for me is that people mention things on WP that I have not yet thought of myself. Sometimes I am vaguely aware of something or other that is going on inside of me, but my impression of that something is not clear enough to really think about it in concise terms. Then I read about it or something related in a book or on WP and I suddenly find myself in a position to put words around the something and actually start thinking about it.

Sometimes I also need some fresh input to do away with an impression or opinion I have been holding for some time and that I finally find is not entirely true. Here WP and comparable sources also help.

Surely WP cannot provide a cure of ASD, but there are still lots of things the site can give us, even it is simply socializing with others who perceive the world in a similar way as oneself.

I don't want to get stereotypical about the seasons but Winter is coming and I know people feel extra down and grumpy. I don't know if this is normal NT BS because of the lack of warmth and sunlight. I love Winter, I get to be in more. But for those who are fairly up and running they might be affected by the changes and produce mood swings/depression.

Not to discredit the OP in any way, but I find this site to be one of the most significant places for me to go to learn about our situation with H.F.A. and/or Asperger's. I feel supported, and welcome, and I would only wish there were more places (both on the Internet and in physical locations) for us to frequent.

Not everything written or shared on this site is useful for everyone, but let's say something here is useful for everyone, and all of it is useful for someone.

I like this site and have actually learned a lot from the other members. It's also the only place I've met people who seem to get where I'm coming from and who notice the same things that I do in terms of perception.

This is where I get my social interaction.

If you seek resolution, then yeah, you're not likely to find it. Anywhere. The only resolution I've found about this subject is that I shouldn't try to become what I'm not... well, I shouldn't try to become a completely different person (nothing wrong with setting goals for improvement on a smaller scale). You pretty much have to come up with your own resolutions to things. What you can be sure of after coming here is that most of us are on the outs with society and have similar issues with clueless acquaintances and family.

I stick to favorite boards mostly, and mark any posts I want follow at the bottom, saying I want to watch this topic.

You get out of it what you give. With a total of 11 posts, it seems you need to play harder instead of just watching.

I agree, I find this site helpful and I am very glad I found it. And the OP also reminded me of corp900 lol

I like being surrounded by people who are like me. It makes me feel like I belong. WP was especially useful when I first discovered Asperger's.
