I got to improve my working memory and concentration, with a computer program
and the most usefull way to remember was to remember the "pattern" in which the numbers was "lit up" in some of the
exercises.
I also when the numbers was not shown but spoken found it usefull to eigther repeat what i heard in my head (not actually listening to them just the sound of what was said) or try to see them in my head and associate them to something (birthdates ect) the pattern way was the best and the repating is good also in converastions when your not listening for a second and
don't want to interrupt someone to catch up
i don't know my pin first hand just the order in which to press the buttons :P

i actually memorise things by sound patterns, i can recognise a phone number by its dial tones, i can tell when a machine is going to break down by the sounds it makes, i can even tell when a person is lying or telling the truth by their breathing patterns

I remember most phone numbers by the melody they make if I say them in my head. It is like a songtext I cant forget. But strangely I have many different ways of remembering things and also some numbers I remember by their constellation on the phone; or like different maths problems if the numbers fit well. Most other things I remember because I connected it to something else when I saw/heard it the first time. This I also do consciously if I want to remember something, only problem I have is names because I often cant connect them to anything, even if I try consciously. They certainly dont describe a person.

I memorised the powers of 2 up to 2^40 at one point. I saw patterns in the numbers. I learn phone numbers by patterns and how I dial it on the keypad.

Yes I do and sometimes I wish i didn't because it is actually harder for me to memorize things that are not patterned in my head.
