I am most certainly and to the utmost a pattern thinker, in both a musical and mathemetical way. I like dealing with numbers too, much more than words (word/story based math problems are trouble for me, I have to shuffle through nonsense to extract the good stuff... the numbers).
I love Progressive Rock/Metal plus their subgenres, and Progressive influence anywhere in Music because it combines Music with Mathematics. In addition, when dealing with music then words become extremely important to me.
I am not a good verbal thinker though, as for example I tend to forget verbal information unless I can actively apply a hands on approach. I have terrific memory recall when I can apply hands on, of information and events that occurred during that time. It's just as dominant as my pattern thinking but I don't think it's visual because I don't think in pictures and it's more based on what I do as opposed to see. Simple things included, like underlining notes, taking notes, writing stuff, twirling my pencil, typing on a computer, etc.
So I would call myself an outstanding Pattern Thinker (both Mathemetical, Musical), and Kinesthetic Thinker. I am a decent Visual Thinker, and bad Verbal Thinker.
