When I zone out, ANY perception of my senses completely stops. I can be sitting in class, zoned out, I'm still aware of my senses being there, but my brain makes no effort to make sense of it.

My first week of high school I did it in my english class during group work. When I came back too, all the people in my group had been staring at me and calling my name for something like 30 seconds.

Ya I find that ifI try to concentrate when I can't, or if I try to focus on watching what I'm ding while moving quickly, my eyes feel like they're crossing and my vision gets blurry and I have to pause and take a deep breath and try to refocus and calm my mind. It happens when my mind is overactive with thoughts flying everywhere and it's as though my brain is saying "ONE THING AT A TIME PLEASE!" and shutting off my visual focus to let itself process the internal stuff. At least that's all I can understand of it!

I get this a lot. My vision goes blurry, then splits into two. It's generally a sign that I'm spacing out or tired.

yes, i've noticed that too. these spaceouts seem to help me cope a lot so i don't get overwhelmed by external input.
