Love bright lights. Hate loud noise.

Well it's weird but the sleeping thing has changed for me at different times. I've been through phases where I was scared to go to sleep in darkness -- my mum used to have to turn off my light after I fell asleep. Then I gradually started to be able to put the light out and go to sleep.

Then I went back to a phase as an adult where I couldn't sleep without it on! And now I'm back to "can't sleep unless it's completely dark."

I can't figure out what made me switch around, any time I switched, but the phases lasted for years at a time. I think I'm set now, though, in liking it to be dark when I sleep. I've read that having a light on disturbs the brain's ability to fully sleep because your eyes still register that light coming through. So I think I'm all settled with the dark now!
