It's because you have a Myriad amount of input arising from your brain!

It depends on the member. I can imagine some of them, but not others. With some I'm correct and with some I'm not. I sometimes like to go on picture threads, but I see the same people constantly posting nearly identical pictures.

No, it wasn't directed at you at all - sorry if I gave that impression. You're really nice. Luckily there aren't too many ****holes on WP, and the ones that are here tend to be ignored.

I think it was my literal mind that mostly gave me the impression, but thanks for the clarification. I like you and your posting too.

Yep....Hyperborean has explored forests far and near. I envy the scope of his experience.

I wasn't aware that input could arise from one's brain, as I think of input as having an external origin...

Mostly from external origin.

I meant "from your brain" in sort of a colloquial sense. As in: I "think; therefore, I am."

The external stimuli is "taken in" by the brain, so to speak, then, with the assistance of your brain and of previous experience, you interpret it. Sometimes, your interpretation gibes with others; others times, it doesn't.

That makes sense! Perhaps I took your comment too literally or did not understand the context.

I tend to use colloquialisms which are metaphorical, rather than entities of precise meaning.

I don't think you took it too "literally." I think it was because you weren't exposed to the colloquial terminology involved in defining "thought."

I like it that you keep an open mind.

Same.

I've found before that I had an idea of what my online friends might look like and then saw their real picture at its odd because it's always different to what I expect. Lol

As long as it's something along the lines of this, then I'm more than fine with that. Image

I envision JK1 as attractive in an androgynous way. Quiet. Gentle. [but by no means weak] Thoughtful, and compassionate.

I see Kraftie as the unique combination of feminist and old fashioned gentleman.

I see Olive Oil as a mature and voluptuous, sexy, gypsy type woman. I see her with a quill pen in one hand, a baby on one hip, bare feet, holding a rolling pin that she can use either to roll out luscious pastries or to bang over the head of unrepentant a**holes, as she dances in a verdant meadow [ yes, I am aware that I have given her a third arm]

I am not sure who else is still active here that I know as I have been absent for awhile.

I think I was active when you were around.

My one friend is online exactly the same person he's in real life, but the majority of people I've known act completely different while in front of their computer.
Honestly even if you have a pretty good idea of what a person might be like, all you can say is how they act on the Internet.

At the same time on some level I'm aware of the fact that everyone here is their own person with their unique life story and daily routine, things happeing to them etc. no matter how they act.
