You've gotten plenty of good answers, but it sounds like whoever told you that AS people aren't allowed to drink alcohol was trying to take advantage of your gullibility. If this person knows that you are AS, and knows that AS people are often gullible, he/she might be trying to see what you will believe. You might want to be careful about believing other things this person tells you, too.

I would also like to add, every year for Christmas, you must buy this person an alcohol based gift, like a bottle of whiskey or wine or something....just to be a smart aaaa you know.

In the UK, the legal age is 18, but the practical age is 12. Seemed to me everyone I knew was starting around then, anyway.
