I find it interesting when questions are posted like this. Not because of what it's about, but because of the way it's worded. "Does anyone [fill in the blank]" gives the impression that the only people the poster wants to hear from are people that "do [fill in the blank]."

Frankly, I don't understand this. If the only replies you get are from those that do, all you'll get is one side of the story.

Which leads me to believe you probably don't want to hear the other side.

I don't. I used to. For many reasons, I know it's a bad idea. But I don't get the impression you really want to know more from me or anyone else that agrees with me.

a bit of advice for u now, if uv got nothing nice to say, then dont say anything at all.
and this is england thers a dealer every 5 doors.

Firstly, if you decide to take cannabis, then do not smoke it. Take it some other way, such as chewing, or you'll experience all the horrible side effects of smoking tobacco in addition to the effects of taking the cannabis.

Secondly, it's okay to not be able to spell some words, but it's good to try as hard as you can. It's not just about "making your brain work slightly harder", it can be a nightmare for some people who don't speak English as their first language to try and read, let alone everyone else.

Finally, a dealer every 5 doors? That would be about 4 million dealers serving 12 people each (assuming the whole country takes cannabis- they don't, by the way). That doesn't work.

You have to smoke tobacco to experiance the effects of smoking tobocco.......you can't smoke cannabis and then experiance the effects of tobacco that is ridiculous. Though smoking is not the safest way it is certainly not the same as smoking ciggarettes.

That isn't what I meant, I meant that the side effects of smoking tobacco (tar in your lungs, for example) are also present when you smoke cannabis. Emphasis on smoke, not tobacco.

Well I realise that, however it has been proven that smoking cannabis is not as harmful as smoking tobacco......smoking ciggerettes can contribute to lung cancer and smoking marijuana cannot because the cannabanoids basically attack cancer cells. But yes smoking marijuana is the most harmful way to ingest it......unfortunatly it is also the quickest and easiest method of ingestion unless you have your medical marijuana licence and can just go to a dispensary and buy some edibles. Otherwise you have to make them yourself, find a dealer who sells edibles, use a vaporizer and obviously those things are not always possible.

I cannot very well use my mothers kitchen to bake marijuana goods for my consumption.

i smoke it occasionally to help put my mind at ease after work and such. However it definatly aggravates my social awkwardness and self consciousness.

Personally, I wasn't picking on the OP or suggesting anyone was saying I was. It just seems unfortunately obvious that he's not asking, "Do you think it's a good idea?" (which would result in getting both sides of the story). The way the question is worded it seems obvious to me that the OP has already decided it's a good idea, and is only looking for validation.

Validation for any idea, good or bad, is easy to find on any forum. All you have to do is word any question beginning with "Do you...?"

What that does is result in most replies being "Yes, I do..." followed by experiences only from those who do, or at least mostly.

When a poster is really looking for balanced advice, they normally word their questions in a way may get some debate, but that usually gets balanced results.

Sorry I can't validate what you seem to already think is a good idea, OP. I think it's a bad idea. If you want to know why, ask, and I'll tell you. I'm not going to bother yet, because I'm not sure you really want to know.

What about medical use of cannabis?

i do want to know why my girlfriend wants me to stop, i feel that she wont like me when im sobar, if im sobar i look for the next bag, its a joke, iv tried to get meds from the authorities and im being treated like s**t, im getting nowhere with my psychiatrist and tbh weed makes it easy to set my mind free. my sister introduced me to weed sayin 1 of her friends brothers has adhd and it helps... so like a mug i tried it and tbh i couldnt get enuff of the stuff. have u tried it? i ask because realistically u couldnt possibally comment unless u have, i believe the drug can help but with the correct dosage, its far too strong as it is, but that just means it lasts longer.

It did not help me mentally. As someone else said, it brought out my social anxiety.

It did, however, help me physically by making it easier to relax my muscles and identify sore spots. It actually did have a powerful hallucinatory effect on me, and I got intense closed eye visuals, sometimes even to the point of completely spacing out for a few minutes and being in my own little world.

By focusing the hallucinations into an image of my own body I was able to unblock some of the pinched nerves in my back temporarily and even reduce my anxiety, but only when I was alone (people look at you funny if you start meditating in front of them with no warning).

Just my opinion but if you have any trouble relaxing or suffer from tension or anxiety or depression, then please try ashtanga yoga (properly, 5 or 6 days a week) before resorting to any drug and that includes cannabis.

On the other hand, if you smoke anything at all and that includes cannabis and using incense in your room for 'meditation' then you should do ashtanga yoga to help your body to repair the damage from the smoke.

Cannabis also helps the body to repair smoke damage.

There is a bit of research out there, there's definitely something in it. Here's a post with links to all the 'clues' that are out there ; http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid= ... 575&type=1

There is lots of pseudoscience pointing to cannabis being a valid treatment for autism and there is complete silence from any serious scientific opposition.

No doubt news of some large study will emerge over the next couple of years.

It is not for kings to drink wine; nor for princes strong drink: Lest they drink, and forget the law, and pervert the judgement of any of the afflicted.

Hopefully you can find someone that is willing to sell/give it to you. Most dealers are cautious enough as it is. Selling to an awkward individual who has no social sense isn't something most dealers would want to do.
They may underestimate your functioning level and assume that if they sell you weed, an angry parent/caretaker/nurse would track them down and get them into major trouble. Or maybe assume that the aspie will blab about the transaction to everyone. Again, that would get the person in trouble.
Just like making friends and taking lovers, finding dealers is also harder for an aspie.

Um... pot dealers sell to potheads. So everyone they sell to is an awkward individual who has no social sense.

Thanks! This is hilariously true.
