Ahem, being obssessed with any morbid subject is, I guess, no worse than being obssessed with everyday things such as busses. But the question was, what is my opinion? I don't mind morbid subjects, really I don't. But they're a little scary, after all ... Although I guess serial killers always pretend to be normal, and Mengle whistled Mozart as he sent innocents to the gas chambers.

Short illustrative story: I once had an undertakers case for formaldehyde jars. I read of a guy who collected understaker stuff in the newspaper. I left a message for the reporter, and got in touch with the guy. When he dropped by to pick up the case he was over 6' tall, built like a football player, and totally goth. Freaked me out. I gave him the case, and locked the door quickly. So, it's ok to be morbid (and goth), but don't expect people (even us oddball ASpies) to appreciate your interests ....

I just remembered another phase I went through as a kid, when I would go out finding old sun-bleached sheep-skulls and take them home to extract the teeth. I kept them in a jar. That didn't last very long, but I was totally obsessed with them. Definitely a weirdo (sarcasm). :)

Tony Atwood says that if an Aspies obsessions suddenly turns morbid, it may be as sign that they are becoming depressed.

I find I tend to be more morbid the happier I am. I don't know why.

Who are we to be judging weirdness? We're Aspies for crying out loud! We're all a little bit weird, or at least that's how we're viewed by more "normal" people.

I agree, and I think those who suggest otherwise should be permanently banned from this forum. that's what I told hale_bopp and MishLuvsHer2Boys

My periods are the same as everyones, but every womans is different whether she is NT, AS, or something else.

Uh, this is an Aspie forum. Perhaps you do not belong here? Kirina Kosage is an Aspie woman with a preoccupation with serial killers and Nazi medical experiments. wrote:

What I said wasn't a personal attack.. get over it. It's not your obsessions that give us the creeps, its the fact you feel the need to antagonise women here, and you don't even ave As (according to your profile), and you make constant personal attacks on people, telling them they don't have the condition because they disagree with you.

I'm very interested in forensics and true crime but could not bring myself to read about people like Joseph Mengele as it would give me nightmares for the rest of my years. But we can have obssessive interests about all kinds of things.
