We break omerta.

"Omerta", yeah, good one we may not be in an organized crime syndicate, but we'd be the first to be whistleblowers in any situation where the truth is obfuscated, but then we'd invite (more) hatred for being "grassers", "snitches", nonconformist disruptors of the social hierarchy, when we expose something rotten from the top down.

Even in workplace bullying situations, the unspoken NT message appears to be "just take the hint that you're not welcome (because you're a weirdo) and leave". But we feel more compelled to rat them out then leave, due to limited options and a strong sense of fairness, which can often backfire.
