I had two molars pulled - 9 and 2 years ago. Even though I was afraid in the beginning, it turned out not to be anything extraordinary, painless, not a big deal. I have a grudge against my mother that she didn't teach me how important issue is taking care of hygiene of oral cavity. She apparently took for granted that deciduous dentition doesn't need to be taken care of

can anyone say here, what it's like getting impacted wisdom tooth out, from the moment go in,till the week after the operation? especially experiences of it being done under IV sedation.
and also,if she should take any herbal,or painkilling things? should she avoid brushing...?
am wondering, because sister is having this done next month, and she had the choice to have general anaesthetic, or IV sedation, she's chose IV sedation.
she has no idea what is going to happen, beyond what have told her already about what IV sedation is like.

All my wisdom teeth were impacted. In fact, one was even jammed up under a bone so they had to split it in half to get it it. But I think I healed pretty quickly, and didn't have much pain. I hallucinated the whole time under the sedation (I wasn't put to sleep, but I was given anesthetic and something to make me not care about what was going on). I kept thinking I was at my summer job at Rite Aid, and then I would hear the nurse talking or something, realize where I was, and then I would be hallucinating again. I also remembered the procedure, which they said I wouldn't because of the meds I was on. I asked them afterward if they had had to split a tooth, because I could remember it.
I didn't brush for a day to two, because I didn't want to risk messing with the blood clot in the holes. You want those to stay put until the healing has began. I also didn't eat anything with small bits (like soup with noodles) because those can get stuck in the holes. I came home and slept for 5-6 hours, and then I just ate pudding and ice cream for the rest of the night. For pain, I took 4 Advil at a time. They gave me actual pain medication, but I didn't need to take it.

At least you were only 6. Maybe you learned from that, and your adult teeth ended up fine. I had lousy braces(that were never done right, and I even have a twisted tooth leveraging other teeth in a bad way. I ALSO recently got my first crown which was due to ANOTHER tooth that was always slanted. The offset bite caused it to crack recently.) for FAR too long, removed because I DEMANDED it, and the cement ate off the enamel! Also, my eye teeth came in bad which really hurt things. Part of my problem was supposedly that THEY were impacted. I couldn't really floss, so I suffered there. The result is I don't know how much longer I will have my own teeth. Statistically, all things being equal, I have an over 30% chance of losing teeth within the next 20 years(I will then be about 65yo).
BTW I had two molars pulled because the dentist I went to prior to it was the 4th one that said I should (I have large teeth and a small mouth, and the molars were WAY too far back), and he said he would tell his BROTHER to have such teeth removed. Ironically, though they were the HARDEST to reach (they were almost at the joint, and halfway in my jaw), they were the easiest to pull! They had small roots. Still, I had other teeth, removed for the braces, that were FAR harder to remove.
