buses, subways, trains.. how are you in them?

Heck I would do the same thing too if someone didn't move their bag but I wouldn't throw it. I would just set it on the person's lap. One time a guy on the bus got mad at me for touching his lap top carry case because he wouldn't move it. He said "I can move it" in a very rude voice.
Well, why didn't he before when I asked if he can move it so I can sit?

Then when there were more empty seats, I moved away from that guy. I don't deal with those people. Face it guy, when the bus is crowded, you need to move your stuff when they ask you to or expect them to move it for you.

I dont mind any form of public transportation when I am the only one using it, or if I can put myself into some secluded area... But as soon as there are a lot of people there, BAM! Sensory overload, and I want to jump out the window.

as long as I have enough space; I'll pull out a book, enter the 'fourth wall', and keep half an ear out for my stop. No worries...;)

"Zero Tolerance" SUCKS

don't diss rap...

Maybe it's to do with the demographic of either mode? Where I live, the commuter rail system's full of roughnecks, as the rail system mainly serves underclass areas, whilst some inner-city bus routes carry a lot of affluent types who use public transport by choice.

what's the difference between "commuter rail" and "rail? I as for more info, please.

it can work...I got someone's facebook last night :P

I've been on some trains when people get violent. That's when I kind of freak out.

It's fun to see the n***a moments that happen on the bus... street preachers, ghetto-ass people in arguments via phone with the baby daddy, debates on 'communism' and decentralized government (I was in that one :P) and other stuff.

What trains do you get on? Then again that is possible, in Chicago some El lines could have that happen.

The subway gets to me. The trains that pass are so loud they disorient me.

the wind can scare me.....it did and because I could feel the air being puhed in front of the subway train when approaching I walked away....those things are windy.....

EDIT: and regarding me....trains are better than buses. CTA train system runs 24 hours, so that's good. May be EXPENSIVE ($2 per ride!) but you can transfer between lines without any extra cost....then again it's cheaper than the Metra that runs 30 mins at the best during 'rushhour' on weekdays...and comes once every ~2 hours on weekends and ends service at 12:30 AM... (last train leaving downtown on rock island route..). Then again a $5 dollar price for unlimited weekend rides on a system that services a bunch of suburbs as well....hmmm.

oh yeah. and the train follows the schedule or tells you when it doesn't. Bus doesn't.....well there's those 'CTA Bus Tracker' sites....should look up.

Yeah rap is ok but why do some people play it open speaker? Do they think everyone is going to like it? I listen to my music with earphones and I don't even crank the volume up.

They probably lack TOM. They like the music so they think everyone else will like it too or they just don't care.

If the bus is quiet, and there's not many people on board so I can sit well away from anyone, I quite enjoy a bus journey. If it's busy and/or noisy, it's a nightmare. I can't bear to have people sitting up close to me; I've chosen to stand for the entire journey rather than share a seat.

I hate all of them. They make me feel trapped and the worse thing is, your trapped with lots of other strangers. I find I can cope good if they are fairly empty but I'll nearly always go out of my way to avoid them.

Sadly enough, Toronto is catching up. I haven't been to NYC but didn't that whole Wal Mart thing happen there? You know the story about what happened in Black Friday.. a stampede crushed an employee to death and couldn't care less about that?

When I'm at home, and noone else is in the house, I have my music set to the lowest volume setting before mute. Only time I crank it is to drown out every other noise around me, and even then, I still hate the noise and want to get noise cancelling headphones instead.

On the buses (trains, planes, and not automobiles) topic

I hate waiting for the public tansport. People push and shove in the big cities. You have to be careful of your bag and wallet.

Touching others is gross. There are also the perverts. I just give people funny looks and they stay away from me.

At any rate, this is the only way to get around, except for planes. I have been on a plane twice (once there, and once back). Very expensive. With this global recession, there may be more space on the few airlines left flying the empty skies! :P

I love flying, I dont have enough fingers and toes for the number of times I've flown. Flying is also almost an obsession of mine, so.
