How do you think the world sees you?

FireBird, you've seen the posts in other threads about how IQ tests are crap, right? And I think your post just proved it. There's no way you're an "idiot". What is "Borderline Intellectual Functioning" supposed to mean, anyway, besides a term representing a number?
Borderline Intellectual Functioning is real, check it up if you can. It is an IQ between 70-85. It's also in the DSM-IV. With IQ tests now a days, they also determine it by how your daily functioning is, daily living skills for example. Can they take care of themselves?
I have taken numerous tests and it all scored around the same amount, plus or minus a couple of points. So, its very consistent. I don't believe that IQ tests are "crap." I mean are there successful mentally challenged people making hundreds of thousands of dollars a year? No. They can do simple tasks like being a bagger at a grocery store a few hours a week.
Its true that when you have a higher IQ, there is more of a chance of success in life, but it doesn't guarantee it. Not everyone with a high IQ is successful. But it helps a lot. My activities of daily living skills are quite low. I am not able to take full care of myself. To be honest no one in the family can (except my mom when medical problems are not acting up), not even my own dad! I am the lowest functioning in the family though.
Just because I can write doesn't mean I am intelligent. I believe that there are other people who have low IQ's on this very site. They have admitted it on here and still can write, very nicely in fact. One of them is even writing some kind of book if I remember right!
People have called me an idiot before especially in school. Same with the teachers. Literally the only thing that suggested that I have a higher IQ than the tests, is the fact that I had good academic achievement. In fact, especially in high school and college (just a 2 year... I got my Associate degree I couldn't go further because the concepts started going beyond my understanding and comprehension) I got A's and B's. But I was lucky in a way. I took the easiest classes I can, and most of my classes are considered remedial. When I took the entrance exam upon first entering the school, I didn't score high in anything. I got put in remedial classes. When I got to grade level, I only had to take a few classes. Then the classes started being difficult. The worst classes for me were: German (I couldn't grasp the concept of cases among other things), Oceanography ( On tests I scored the lowest and luckily the class wasn't really based on tests, it was based on lab work and I had people I was working with), Digital Design (at first it was kind of easy, but when the concepts actually got to my grade level I was totally lost), math college level (don't remember which one), among other classes that I am forgetting. The only reason I scored high in other classes was because it was multiple choice questions and I am almost always good at guessing. In high school I was mainly in special ed. The only class that I scored incredible in that was a normal mainstream class was Biology. The reason why was because I had a study skills class and they obviously helped me study for the final of which I got a 106% because of extra credit. I got the highest grade in the entire class. My vocabulary is below average, definitely NOT at a 29 year old level. My reading comprehension is below average. My writing skills are below average for someone who is 29. I am brilliant in art though, if they had an IQ test about art I would score 150.
