No, we should not force ourselves or be forced to act NT or not be ourselves and it is not selfish. It is selfish of others to want you to act NT.

I'm done answering this question that has only be asked a billion times on WP. The answer to it will always be a big fat NO. :x

True. :D Why the German helmet?

Because there's a character from Hogan's Heroes that I like. I call it my Schultz helmet. I'm also chubby and cute.

I saw your pic on a very old thread. You do have a sweet Schultzy look especially with the helmet. :D

Is that a picture of the character (your avatar)? Do you have a helmet like that? Is it comfortable?

The show that Cockney Rebel is referring to is a TV show called Hogan's Heroes. It's hilarious. It's a TV comedy about WWII about some American prisoners in a German camp and the Character that Cockney Rebel loves is a sweet kind of not very smart German soldier, Shultz, who is supposed to be guarding the Americans but the Americans are always messing with him. It's really funny. That is the character in CR's avatar.

It's the character in my avatar, that's the helmet I have and it's very comfortable. I also have a toy one that I made.

4- to become accepting of situations we don't like rather than expecting others to accommodate us. ( this one is very important!)
5- To stop trying to do the right thing or say the right thing when it is not our place or required. It always back fires!!
" sometimes people with Aspergers take actions without realizing their effect on other people"
6- to learn to be appropriate in public. Not normal because normal is fluid and hard to grasp. To be appropriate and pleasant

Exactly! Like Tony Attwood said, using an english idiom: "When in Rome - do as romans do".
