I'll take the adult autism test, too.

On the Chandler Macleod test, I was an "APE" type. I hope that doesn't mean I act like one (just kidding--the letters must stand for something). The results were surprisingly accurate, especially considering the fact that the word "conventional" always appeared together with the words "self-directed" and "self-controlled", despite being almost the opposite of those two in many ways. I only selected this option when the alternative didn't describe me well at all. I would call this more of a professional style test than a personality test--there's more to personality than the type of work environment you do best in.

Ah sorry, I should've reposted on this thread too:

Sophist in other thread wrote:
Right now, I'm not letting people know their scores since this questionnaire is in a very VERY rough draft version and I don't want any score to influence a person's self-concept (e.g., I don't want someone to get a low score and start worrying that they're not autistic when this tool has had no validation or reliability testing as yet). I will, however, be posting the broader results and a brief write-up, though that may take awhile since I'm still in desperate need of controls.

Right now, everyone should know though, I am working under the assumption that any score coming from WP is "autistic", giving me a particular range of scores which will hopefully not overlap the range of the control group. So right now it's not really a reconfirmation of ASC; the test is assuming everyone here participating is autistic.

A better, and far more objective test of your "autism", is based on the originator (long dead) of a theory of personality, which you can try here (and elsewhere on this site, if you care to search for it):

I came out with the NAE personality too - it said suited to be a research scientist and guess what, I am. It was almost 100% correct too, apart from at the end where it said that I wouldnt like public presentations - in fact I used to hate them, but have realised now I quite enjoy them if I know what Im talking about.

After going through that Personality Test, despite that I find some accuracies amongst its vagueness, I really don't see much that the results have told me that I haven't already told it with my word-choices to be honest.

All it did was give me a list of pre-selected words or phrases to describe myself, put them in repetitive yet various combinations, I chose from those which I felt best suited me, and then it tallied those up and spat out those exact words I chose except fleshing them out a little more.

I'm not going to pretend it didn't sound somewhat accurate. But that was due to my own assessment of my self.

(This isn't a knock on the test, I'm sure it's useful. But just saying that based on my answers, the results were somewhat predictable.)

Are getting a disproportionate amount of girls filling out your questionnaire and guys aren't participating?

Hehe, yeah actually, I've gotten about double the number of females:males. (30:16 so far)

In a little while I'm hoping to post some of the results so far, including scores and ranges on my TASEA questionnaire and the AQ, and sex and age distributions. (I'm just waiting for a friend to convert the pdf files to jpg's so I can upload them into Photobucket.)

I don't have a control group yet so I don't have anything to compare them to, but the results so far are interesting and are showing some trends. --Just as long as the controls don't show overlapping trends then all will be well. :)

Why do you want to convert the pdf files to jpg? pdf is a decent format for test results. I guess it depends how big the the results are. You could convert it to Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) for charts, most newer browsers are compatible. Gifs with only one or two colours are small. Though jpeg is generally better for textures and photography.

Anyway I'm happy to do the conversion for you, whatever format.
