Are you aware that you're quoting and responding to someone who hasn't made a post on this forum since 2015?

There are no such things as low or high-functioning autistic people. That is something A$ and quack doctors want parents to believe so they can make money with their so-called "cures".

So I'm supposed to be miserable and suffering from Asperger's Syndrome? I'm miserable and suffering from PEOPLE, not Asperger's.

I'm so sick of it. I don't need to change, society does, but that will never happen. Not until it's too late. :(

I'd like to see it get to the point that those quack doctors go out of business due to lack of income.

I do, I'm just making my point. :| Why would one refer to me as a Sociopath when while I have my moments of misunderstanding of my emotions, I still am a perfectly compassionate individual to do so is simply insulting. I don't really expect a response either way. While I certainly want a response. It's hard to respond to something like that. It was more a statement.

I doubt that it will change by the time that I'm your age. With the majority of my life gone. Most likely going into retirement. Maybe starting my own Business? I hope for it but, It will not change until we speak out against it and by very nature, that is unlikely to happen of the very few aspies/auties who are comfortable going out in public and doing a speech. They'll have to speak out. Then Autism really will speak.  I know, that pun is a little too much. I don't like the labels. Your Either to high functioning to understand or to low functioning to have anything to say. Why can't Autistics just Speak. I'll tell you because Autism speaks should really be NTspeaks. We should start a website paroding it.. Oh wait it already has been done. Hate to get sued. ;)
http://ntspeaks.com/
I'd be happy to do a speech! If someone would set it up. Help me write the speech and not mind stuttering.

I have a couple of questions for you:

+ Do stereotypes commonly associated with moderate-severe autism or intellectual disability affect your mood and/or stress levels, or are you able to completely overlook and/or be apathetic toward such things due to the nature of your being?

+ How do you consider those with whom you interact with the most?

+ What are your favourite things to do in life?

+ Do you ever feel socially embarrassed (e.g. when you spill something on yourself)?

None of these questions are intended to be malicious, and should only be interpreted as they are written.

Thanks.

On smartphone, don't feel like messing with quote brackets in code. First question: some stereotypes annoy me, but don't really affect my mood unless someone says something directly (wouldn't anyone be irritated with insulting remarks made about them?). I am moderately autistic, not severe, so that may also bias my answer.

I don't understand the meaning of how I consider others.

Favorite things to do: engage with things of interest, play with action figures, tabletop games, explore things related to interests.

Socially embarrassed: not much, don't really perceive without it being brought to my attention. Like moaning/ loud vocalizations or salivating excessively.

Are you a sockpuppet for Norny?
Because it looks like BelleAmi was answering the OP (Norny), back in 2014 when the post you think was directed at you was written.

It's hard to understand why you would take that old exchange between others as something about you.

I'd left this forum a long ago. I checked today for the first time in ages, how curious that I would see one of my old threads.

I can confirm that I'm not a sociopath, and no I don't have any sock-puppets. I'm gone. I've changed significantly since I stopped posting here.

I hope these changes are working well for you.

Why is a moderator making a personal attack on these boards? Isn't that against the rules? If you feel like someone is a sock puppet, that is something to be taken care of behind the scenes. Its totally inappropriate to turn any thread into your personal courtroom. As a moderator, you have the right to block or erase other member's posts. You have power here. And that comes with a responsibility to not abuse it.

So, Pip might be a 44 year old man sock puppeting. Or he could be honestly a 12 year old boy. In the later case, you, a moderator, is making public false accusations towards a 12 year old.

Really. Have some pride. Don't be that person.

I would humbly suggest that you use your moderator privileges to erase any evidence that you said that, right along with this post. This is just embarrassing.

What can I say, somanyspoons?

I don't see a personal attack there and didn't intend one. I was simply trying to understand why one poster described an ancient post as a personal attack when it seemed unrelated to that member....

While it's true that I am a moderator, I am also a member and entitled to post and respond as one. I am not perfect and don't pretend to be. I am not going to go erasing my posts and yours just because you got needlessly bent out of shape over a simple question.

Your reaction is incomprehensible to me. Maybe something else was going on this thread that went over my head, but I don't see any more of a rationale for your reaction to my post than there seemed to be for Pieplup's response to Norny.

Your trying to say that "sockpuppet" is anything less than an insult? Really? That's what you want to go with?

When is the last time you used the term sockpuppet to refer to someone in a positive light? Do you turn to your sweety at night and say "Goodnight, sockpuppet." Have you signed Christmas cards, "Merry Christmas. Your Sockpuppet, Adam."

We're talking about a 12 year old here. When you were 12, would you have been ok with being accused of being a sockpuppet? If you have a kid that age, and someone called him that, would you be OK with it?

I didn't see any accusation, just a simple question, "Are you a sockpuppet?" Strangely Pip didn't answer but Norny did, make of that what you will.

No I'm not a sockpuppet. I just didn't interpret that. I'm offended that you called me such...

I did not call you a sockpuppet, but rather asked if you were one because i was confused by your post.

I don't suspect you of being one, either. Your writing style seems very different than Norny's.
