when i was kid i suffered gravely from a strange brain disease called "Abdominal Migraine" a rare kind of migraine ....and it caused me a lot of cyclic vomiting over 12 years (vomiting crisis each 2-3 weeks or each month and each crisis may last for 2 to 3 days).
All the local doctors thought that i had something wrong in my stomach which was not the case ...only a lebanese US-graduated brain doctor had diagnosed my case correctly and gave me the right cure.

Had a dog phobia as a kid -- I was in my 20s before I got past it.

[quote="Lightning88"]I’m still pretty young, so nothing has really changed. Here are the fears I currently have and have not gotten over:
*House Fires
*Bullies
*Losing Everything I Have
*Vicious Animals
*Elves

How can you be scared of elves? They're happy little people that help Santa!

When I was a kid Chucky.

I still don't want anything to do with certain kinds of bugs, especialy Palmetto Bugs I don't even like to see pictures of them.
Luckily they don't seem to be able to live here for some reason.

Disgustng public restrooms. Even today, I hate going into public restrooms because I don't know if they will be clean or absolutely filthy.

Mosquitoes, seriously. We lived in a old house that didn't have screens on the windows. My mom would always leave the windows open. So mosquitoes easily came inside the house. Every single night when I try to sleep. Bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz around my head and near my ears. That sound scares the hell out of me. I'd scream and cry and go under the covers, but I could still hear them, bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz trying to suck my blood. AHHHH! My parents never took me seriously when I cried and moaned. :( It was horrible. I still freak out if I hear them.

This brings back fond memories. When we were really young (like 3 or 4), me and a friend were afraid to flush the toilet at our preschool because we thought a monster lived inside and flushing would make it come up.

Anyway, I was afraid of worms as a child. I remember telling my mother they scared me because they didn't have faces.

They started coming out with those toilets that flushed themselves when I was little...I was terrified of them.

Moving cars (I was ok when in them but didn't like to be near them), wolves, the dark (typical kid fear), being left somewhere unfamiliar.

Often I am very scared of the dark. When I am in a room at night with no lights on I am virtually terrified (I can't remember if it was worse when I was younger).

Things that make me all weirdly scared are stuff like the film "The Jungle Book" (don't ask how, it's WAY too complicated), big spiders, mosquitoes and going on the ice without calming myself down first. I am also very nervous of very loud noises.

When I was younger I used to be terrified of all spiders (even itty bitty ones), a lot of heights (I'm not so bad now) and other stuff.

Regards, mightyzebra

As a very small child I was terrifed of sudden loud noises. In particular men sneezing & the TV popping. (We had a rather decrepit black-and-white TV and the picture would often start rolling & the TV emitting loud pops & bangs. I remember being so petrified of it I hid in my room and wouldn't even come out to watch "Bill & Ben" - my favourite programme at the time.)

I was (& still am) also afraid of pitch blackness - I find the sensation of total disorientation very unpleasant.

As I got a bit older I developed a real phobia of vomiting - I wouldn't call it a phobia now but I still do everything I can to avoid it.
