I never watch sports of any kind. The last sports that I watched was the Olympics when the Soviet Union was playing along with all the other communist satellite countries. The players in all those communist countries used to cheat by taking drugs and I wanted to see if they would get away with it and win, or lose. It was more of an interest in politics than anything else. Ever since the fall of the Soviet block I completely lost interest. In fact I never saw my father or grandfather follow sports either.

I enjoyed certain aspects of playing them. Played baseball for like seven years, and a bunch of crap in high school. Good way to get to know yourself.

However ... I rarely enjoy watching other people play.

I voted no. The results are interesting because almost all NTs do watch sports, including both my parents.

I am an avid Chicago Bears fan. I love football for the technical aspects of the game.

I am also a Chicago Cubs, Blackhawks and Bulls fan, though I only really follow the Bears.

Because my husband is a baseball, football and golf fan, I end up seeing games and tournaments (or parts thereof). The nuances of the sport appeal to me, but often the arbitrariness of the referees/umpires repels me. On my own, I would watch next to nothing.

Only if the Red Wings (hockey) are in the semi-finals or later.

Speaking of which, damn, but Anaheim earned it. :(

Football/soccer is one of my Interests  at some points in the season there's a game almost every day, at the weekend theres nearly 12 hours of footy games, discussions, replays, analasys etc and I'm in heaven One of my fav things about it is the fact there's constant flux, looks the same but it's always changing, the press coverage makes it like a soap opera. I love the beauty of the game the most though. To me it's a lucky 'choice' of interest as I can talk in depth about it to friends and strangers alike (male obviously) and I don't look too nuts.

Defo a case of average intelligence and unintellectual interests.

I voted for "only if there is a big game on".

Before my mum got married I wasn't the slightest bit interested in sports of any kind. However my now step-dad has introduced me to cricket and I find it quite interesting because it's a 'thinking sport', not just one where you would sit and yell..."Come on! Move!"...at the TV. I don't watch it all the time quite simply because the current competition is being played in England (& I'm in New Zealand) it's on TV after 12pm. However if my country is playing I will stay awake and watch the match.
When there is cricket being played in New Zealand I will nearly always watch it if I don't have to do anything else.

I call myself a Dallas Cowboys fan but really I just did it to seem more masculine. Years ago, back when they were winning Super Bowls, I began following them. Actually they had become one of my special interests at the time. I was very into them, buying Dallas Cowboys this and Dallas Cowboys that. But even to this day, while I do understand a lot of football, I don't understand it all so I have to fake it when asked questions. I'm really not a fan of any sport, but a few years ago when I developed an obsession with running, I was all about it. I was on running forums, reading running magazines, watching races on TV, etc. As a child I enjoyed sandlot baseball with my friends, but I always sucked at it. Never could throw, catch, or hit worth a crap but I tried anyway. When my friends would want to play football and I got reluctantly dragged into it, whenever I had the ball and someone would come toward me as if to tackle me, I'd always throw the ball on the ground and cower in fear. I never got over that, so my friends eventually stopped playing football with me.

I'm a Red Sox fan too... I don't really follow it, but I do care. I don't typically watch sports, but I do watch gymnastics if it is on and also Red Sox games if I am not doing anything else. Other than that someitmes ice skating, and I always watch the olympics.

I watch my sports: cycling (TdF next month! wooo!), triathlon, and beach volleyball.

Other endurance sports like running... not so much.

Anything to do with two groups of people chasing after a ball, nope not interested. Those sports are too agressive.

Boxing, wrestling, and the like? Why is that even LEGAL?

I only watch the Tour de France - religiously. it becomes a family routine for the weeks it is on.
I also watch Swimming when it is on and Athletics at world championship level.

As a child, one of my special interests was Rugby League - particularly the Western Suburbs Magpies team under the coaching and guidance of Roy Masters. That was in the Seventies. I kept scrapbooks and tallied scores, collected pics and memorabilia and was intense and obsessive about it. That special interest lasted a few years. I lost complete interest in Rugby League when it became chronically commercialised here in Australia. And now i view it as an odious mug's game......

So i assume you were watching Friday? Was good game.

I watch Hockey. When my home team ( Sabres!! !! !) aren't doing great, i have a tendency to avoid disappointment and not watch. But i did Watch most of this years Stanley Cup Finals. Was a great series. Except now we have to wait till Like October for more Hockey :( I also watch football, but that's more because my family does and its hard to avoid. I learned a long time ago to not hope for anything from the Bills.

Eh... I thought the Red Wings were panicking way too much -- started off too aggressive and didn't even make many strategic shots. It was pretty painful to watch (the shot that hit the net's top rail was the icing on the cake). However, the Penguins did lose their best guy very quick and haven't won the Stanley Cup in like 20 years, so it's cool.

Next year will be the best of three though! :rambo:
