Multitasking.

I opened a course folder. The blurb said something like:

"With good organisational skills, you'll be able to hold down a part time job; learn to drive; go out shopping with friends; party at the weekend; have a two hour commute; do extracurricular activities, visit your boyfriend/girlfriend; do extra keyskills assignments; do your homework and get full marks on this course. It's possible! It's a life skill."

No, it isn't possible.
Overloading people with work isn't a life skill, it's torture.
I never met anyone on the course who managed to do all of those things, not even the really able people. That's because there are only 24 hours in a day and at least 5 of these are needed for sleep. I was told I was one of the most organised and hardworking people there and I was unable to do all of these things.

So why the lies?

I suppose it's like advertising: misleading people for profit.
A kind of exploitation.

Perhaps if people knew the truth about how long things really took and how hard they'd have to work, they'd lose motivation. Perhaps even the will to live.

In the bathroom..that's strange. I try so hard not to even breathe in there. Why talk?! Ugh.

Referring to the feeling centers of their brain as their "heart." I understand that sometimes heart rate is increased or decreased by emotion, but puh-leez, giving to charity does not mean that you have a "big heart." Giving to charity means that you sympathize with the less fortunate. A big heart? That's called dialated cardiomyopathy and it has a worse prognosis than many cancers.

I sometimes use the stylized heart  emoticon to indicate that I love something, but my understanding stops there.

It's a figure of speech, even though technically your feelings come from your brain and not your heart.

I understand most figures of speech, but not that particular one.

If you think about it, it is kind of weird. Why do we say that anyway? The Japanese equivalent would be having a big stomach, as ancient teaching (I believe it was Shinto) stated that the soul was located in the stomach.

Why do people in a group linger when it's time to go?

The event is over, or the party has broken up and people can't leave....

When I'm ready to go I like to say goodbye and leave. Now.

This thing isn't specific to "NT's", it's more of an people thing in general.

I can't stand it when an adult says that a teenager can't possibly know what love is. Usually, what they really mean is 'a person your age does not have the skills and mental faculties for a romantic relationship.' For the most part, I can agree with that statement. But the skills necessary for a romantic relationship are not the same as a basic human emotion endowed to all of us at birth! Plus I am not entirely convinced such things are completely related to age, but experience. Why can't they just say, "At your age you don't have the skills necessary for a romantic relationship" and not "You're young, how can you know what love is?".

Not only is it the wrong word but it's vague to the point of me wanting to gouge my ears whenever I hear it!

I'm female and whenever I won't go with other girls to the bathroom they seem put off by it. I've had people go so far as to get outwardly upset at me for refusing their invitation for communal bathroom chats. Seriously, I don't want to be in there with anyone else let alone talk to someone while I'm in the bathroom!

I'm going to go with meeting someone once and speaking them for a short period about a common interest and suddenly becoming "friends". I don't understand how people can connect and get oh so close within the course of five-fifteen minutes!! !

Actually dude...I do loads of multi-tasking. I have to; I never said it's easy in even the slightest, but the rewards are certainly worth it.

I don't get it either. I need a little more time than that before I can call someone a friend, as opposed to an acquaintance, though sometimes people just click together.
