Every time i load a different page i have to delete history. Im on a mac and use safari and as soon as i leave a website i go 'history' (next to view at the top there) then 'clear all history'. i do it without thinking and i have absolutely no reason for doing this. sometimes when im on something like youtube, and waiting for a video to load... ill just do it, even if i had done it seconds ago. but i physically cant not do it... it feels almost therapeutic. i have a thing for organization... and web history just seems so messy to me, i dont like it.

is this some form of stim? obsessive compulsive? or just a habit?

anyone else find they do anything similar?

Seems like OCD to me.

I used to be like that, OCD methinks.

Try Firefox and turn on private browsing. That may help :)

I have my own browsing quirks: I always use the "back" button to go back to a main page, rather than clicking on "Home". For example, here on WP I will drill down to the forums list--into a formum, and then to a topic, and I always back out, rather than clicking back into the forum. Even when the previous page doesn't automatically update I will still go back and then refresh, rather than clicking forward to go back up the tree.

I am the same way, and to add to that, I've always gotta be within a few clicks of my browser's home page. Thank goodness for tabbed browsing! :P

I right click and choose 'back', but yeah. That's me.

I don't like going to all these pages, then the home page, then another page, etc. I like being able to get back to the main pages of all the sites I've been to by just going back, rather than skimming through a million pages of the same crap. Tabbed browsing helps, though.

Hate pages that disable right-clicking. Usually it's to keep people from stealing pictures - - which is stupid, because you don't have to right click to steal a pic. There are other ways. So stop messing with right click - it has functions other than pic-stealing!
