I do that all the time in my head... Or sometimes out loud, which annoys people!

Interesting that you bring this up. I used to do this when I was a kid but don't anymore. I can't even remember the last time I did it. Anyone else 'grown out' of this?

I just play songs in my head and visualize stuff, mostly.

I don't narrate... but I always comment on many of the things I do in my head - and it is often structured like a lecture or a discussion.

I don't narrate my own actions. Instead, I explain stuff. I imagine I'm explaining something to someone and start going on and on about it. Like explaining today's world to a 18th century person. Or the plot and gameplay of a video game to someone who hasn't played it.
