Hello,

Alex has given me permission to post a message asking if anyone (aged 12 or over) who has a sibling with an ASD and lives in the UK would be willing to participate in my dissertation study. It looks at empathy in typically developing siblings, which was a topic suggested to me by another parent. My study involves completing a questionnaire, which can be sent in the post or over the internet. Consent forms need to be physically signed, so will need to be posted (if the participant is aged 18 or under, their parent will also need to complete a consent form). The questionnaire it is very short - should take around ten minutes to complete. The study has received ethical approval from my university (The University of Leicester), which is available to any possible participants if they would like to see it before participating.

I felt that there was not enough research being conducted into the siblings of people with an ASD, so I felt it would be a useful area to research.

If anyone is interested, please email me at [email protected]. Thank you!
