I hear that in the western hemisphere the sun rises in the east and sets west. I couldn't begin to tell you just where it rises from where we live. That seems unbelievable even to me. It does rise in the east, right? Land of rising sun is the east, but does that mean sun rises in east?....Good grief.

I have no sense of direction at all. I've lived in this city for over 30 years and I can literally count the # of places I could find my way to without assistance on the fingers of one hand. I don't recognize streets or landmarks, and can't memorize a list of right and left turns to save my life. However, I have a crystal-clear "map" of where things are in my home, so that the 20 times a day my disorganized husband asks where something of HIS is I can describe exactly where I last saw it. Go figure.
