My extremely long list of known people on the spectrum in my region, complete with cities and year born.
I love making lists of things. That will never change.

Adventure Time and Regular Show (cartoons).
Skrillex (dubstep musician). Assorted dubstep/electro/alternative r&b type stuff.
Autism related stuff, particularly services for adults and self-advocacy.
My friends.
The DJ guy I like, who is also attracted to me (ongoing).
I have such narrow interests. 8O

This misdiagnosis caused me significant stress, which lessened upon finding out the truth about myself from my current and past long-term psychiatrists - that I am a highly sensitive person but do not have an autism spectrum disorder

My diagnoses - anxiety disorder, depression and traits of obsessive-compulsive disorder (all in remission).

I’m no longer involved with the ASD world.

My current special interest/obsession is a book I recently purchased:

A Field Guide to Earthlings (by Ian Ford)

8O 8O :o :D Me too! Oh my gosh! I didn't know you're into his music! The first time I've heard of him was when I heard Benny Benassi's Cinema mixed by him during Frosh week proceedings outside of my window in rez. I then looked up the song and downloaded it and that's how I got into his other stuff.

My obsession right now is my boyfriend. I want to immerse myself in everything that belongs to him. Everything. Which is scary, so I hold myself back.

I get interests that come and go all the time, and they're "intense" enough to be an Asperger's-type interest.

These would be linguistics (with an emphasis placed on language acquisition and the specific Mandarin Chinese language... no longer Japanese... though all languages are interesting to me), Pokémon (has been an interest since June or so), and I always have a music-related interest.
I have other interests that are "intense"; just not enough to mention as being an "obsession" or "special interest."

Right now I don't have a special interest and it's driving me nuts. I feel empty and shallow.

I know that if I allow myself I will pick up one soon, but I am trying to see how I will do without for a while. If it will help me focus on other important things in life I tend to forget.

I feel like this all the time; my "special interests" have only lasted for very short amounts of time since my largest one ended (Presidents of the U.S., which went on from ages 4 to 12-13 or so; I'm nearly sixteen so it's been a few years.)

And your avatar is great, I love the Sufjan. I need to see him live one of these days... whenever he comes to my city, I'm going without a doubt.

My current obsessions/special interests are:

Riding the city buses
Learning about Asperger's in adults and older teens
Going to Starbucks and ordering Soy Pumpkin Spice Lattes
Reading about people with ASD going missing and their predicaments in the news
Diet and how it affects mental and physical health
Making my own pottery, in such a way that it will actually be put to use
Finding a trade that I would be good at/be able to "handle"
Reading FML stories on the Facebook app. FML
Checking the local weather forecast at www.theweathernetwork.com
Drinking wine and/or beer in the late evening to relax
Taking the city buses to do "Day Trips" to a nearby city (50km's away)
Going downtown to see if my friends are around
Playing Pyramid Solitaire while listening to music and drinking
Finding people to relate to in terms of ASD in teen/adult females (no such luck in my small city)
Wishing people would understand Aspergers/"High Functioning" autism better
Trying to make up new stories/"excuses" to some people in my life as to why I am still unemployed and cant "just get a job at a fast food place, or as a cashier/cook/hotel maid" (all of the for-mentioned are too overstimulating/overwhelming)
Finding ways to prevent myself from slipping into a Depression episode (again)
Writing down the things, big and small, that I am thankful for every night in a journal

The TV show Fashion Police was compulsive viewing up until recently.

I just love how they just blurt out what they think (just like Aspies)
- Especially Joan Rivers who comes out with some shockingly hilarious lines

It's so gauche 8)

I think it would be fun to have some guest Aspies on that show, to see if they could out-gauche Joan Rivers
