OK this thread is for us to show an area of our lives that completely puts us at odds to a stereotypical Aspie or what they ought to be able to do or handle.
DO NOT say "I am able to do complex formula"...because that is a societal expectation. That is a stereotypical conformity to the expected of Aspies.

Now this IS making fun of ourselves but let's have some fun and embrace it.

Are you good with the opposite sex? Are you a jock? Are you a public speaker?

Find something and list it and after it say Aspie = Fail. (Yeah we believe that you are Aspie and whatever just do it and have some fun ;p

Me?

I work in Customer Retention and Outbound Sales in a Call Centre. Worse still I am awesome in my job.
My job offers routine. My job allows in depth analysis of each particular situation and measured and measurable targets. Set rules and procedures. It allows me to go at my own pace and be self-directed. I am given a hell of a lot of slack because I am the best in my specialised team at what I do ...but...It is highly social and i am doing sales and customer retention.

Aspie = Fail :lol:

I go into the mall food court to meet some new people hopefully. I just end up getting food and watching the television at home. (The milkshake tasted good though)

On the road, while me and my sister were walking to a grocery store, i noticed a road advertising and it had a white sheet kinda thing on because it had no advertisement on it at that time. So i suddenly asked her if she had a bed sheet under her when she sleeps. She was watching me with weird face. Then i realized that the question was probably awkward. I told her that if you don't have a sheet in your bed you can get one there. It was a joke i made. I guess the joke wasn't funny for her but she laughed because it was weird that i asked such thing.

I go to the mall just to walk around and browse when I'm bored. Because loneliness is not healthy
I am open to, and generally welcome change

I have the habit of talking to myself in such public places.

Aspie = FAIL! :lol:

(But if I did shout while talking to myself, its an EPIC FAIL!) :lol:

I socialize a lot, and am more introspective/retrospective than the majority of people I've met.
I like shopping for clothes and buying expensive, good-looking clothes on occasion. I also like dressing up and decorating myself so that I can look in the mirror and be satisfied with the way I look.

I had one of the largest group of friends and social network and we went to a very crowded and noisy place at least once every week, sometimes up to 3 times a week. And I had fun there. In fact, when it changed owners and got less people, it was a worse place and we all just stopped going.

It was a skating rink for those interested in knowing. That played music that I liked :P I was a speed skater.

I suck at math. Oh, and I write emotional poems and can analyse literature. In fact I was top literature student at one time, and wanted to be an author or lit scholar.

Every time i filled out an application form for a job, i never heard back.
Every time i approached the manager about a job, face to face, I got it.
Every time i got the job my lack of organisational skills and timekeeping (yay eternity) meant i ended up quitting before they sacked me.

Every time i went for a job it was in public services, I.E busy restaurants, tele sales, 90% of jobs we're facing and interacting with people hour after hour.

I once got invited to take part in a photoshot for a main stream clothing catalogue, while at work, in a casino's restaurant.

So i think i can safely say, we might have the issues.. but

Aspie = fail

You know the most interesting thing about this thread for me?

I can't think of one thing to list that would fail me!

Every single thing I can think of that I DO laugh about, IS aspie as all hell! 8O

Thanks for the thread anyway though! I never really thought about it before...

And the results were actually surprising, because I never thought of myself as "typical" aspie before this.

Thanks! Thanks a lot!

I think... :roll:

NT= FAIL!

Aspie = PASS!
