My mom and the school guidance counselor set up an appointment for me to see a psychometrist. I am not diagnosed with Asperger's but after a lot of research, I'm thinking that this is probably what I have. I'm not sure how this is going to work, all I know is that it will involve assessments and questionnaires. I don't know if she will be able to tell me if I have Asperger's or not. I'm really scared because talking to people is very hard for me.

I just wanted to know if anybody here has ever seen a psychometrist and if they could tell me a little about what to expect.

Thank you.

Nothing to be afriad of.

You get a battery of tests- IQ, aptitude, etc.

You get interviewed.

Family members get interviewed serperately from you, about you.

Its quite thorough.but an interesting experience.

You get a little booklke report which amounts a thorough inventory of you and strengths and weakness (great for anyone to have whether they get diagnosed or not).

And if you have it-the specialist will probably find it.
