Cincinnati, OH it's a great old town, with easy ways of geeting in and out of town without much hassle. :)

I would go with San Francisco, the Twin Cities (Minneapolis/St Paul), and Seattle.

DC is a fantastic city, though I'm getting tired of it (great place to start a career, though). San Francisco is also very nice, and a lot more outwardly laid-back than us hyperactive East Coasters. I'm thinking I'd like Chicago, too, although I've never had a chance to go outside the Loop. Pity.

NYC since I don't want to live anywhere else.

I've been to Indianapolis. There's nothing there! :P

I like Seattle. Also Honolulu!

And small towns in California: Santa Rosa, Davis, San Luis Obispo, Solvang, Carlsbad.

I hate big cities. I belong in the most remote area where there is a Walmart in walking distance.

Seattle - the most literate city in America. Also: Space Needle!
San Francisco - As a GLBT person, I am required by law to love San Francisco.
New York - I went there with my aunt and loved the history, culture, diversity, and energy of the city.
Atlanta - because my amazing college that I still can't believe I got into is there.

NYC, probably because I am most familiar with it. My favorite city in general is Erie, PA, though I don't think that qualifies as a "big" city (104,000 people). The lake and the peninsula are awesome.
My favorite international city is Seville, Spain.

Favorite cities I've lived in: Seattle, Monterey, CA, Eugene, OR.

Favorite cities I've visited: Portland, OR, San Francisco, San Diego, NYC.

I've yet to visit many East Coast cities, although I plan to. Chicago's also on my list. I plan to move once the economy picks up. I'll likely end up in Seattle or Portland--anything's better than another Phoenix summer. (I note that nobody has picked Phoenix as a favorite!)

Seattle - very progressive/friendly, clean and one can see snow-capped mountains from downtown. I like the music scene in Boston, but (outside of back bay) the area has a bit of that pretenscious (sp?) New England vibe. There are some pretty parts of Washington, DC around the gov't buildings, but the rest of the city is very slummy. Other large cities tend to leave something to be desired. Downtown Austin is nice, but the proliferation of strip malls on the outskirts left a bad taste in my mouth and it probably doesn't qualify as a major city.

Caviat: I'm more of a country boy, even though I now live in a decent-sized city.
