Anyone here with Aspergers who likes blood?

I don't care for it, it tastes too metallic.

I take an odd pleasure in the taste of it when I've been hit in the mouth. I know, weird. But generally no, I don't like to see it or taste it. I really don't like seeing little cuts on people.

In Guatemala they have a dish called moronga (sp?) that is blood cooked until it coagulates and then you slice it like meatloaf. That might be very good for anemia.

no, there are no particular interests common to most aspies.
to say most aspies are fascinated by blood is like saying most aspies are fascinated by poop or caterpillars.

if i were to ask people if they thought most aspies were surely fascinated by caterpillars simply because i had 2 aspie friends with an incidental interest in caterpillars, then wouldn't i sound like quite the silly one ?

I like blood as long as it stays inside me. In fact, I depend on the stuff. It keeps me alive, and not in a vampire faggotry sense.

As for the taste, whatever. I lick my wounds for no personal reason; only because it is an instinctive thing to do, and one's own saliva helps healing a bit.

I've come across a few people who have had fascinations for bloody noses, they were cool.

I like blood in a violent sense (in movies, games), and I have no trouble seeing my own blood when I'm at pathology clinics etc.

Personally I have a deep appreciation for my own blood, and wouldn't care to be without it.

It's a bit too sticky to the touch, though, so I prefer it to remain on the inside. Besides that, it stains. That can be tiresome.

Yeah, it sucks when it gets smeared on a project you're working on. Just because you were being dumb and tightening the saw blade with a wrench that you knew was going to slip, but did it anyway, and gashed your finger on the blade, then failed to put on sufficient bandaging....

I like the taste of my own blood. I don't like seeing large amounts of blood though.

Blood is miraculous and precious. I worked with blood for 4 years in pathology. Looked, sampled, centrifugued and studied. Plasma is particularly interesting. I would get blood to test for organ transplants and blood transfusions.

Blood has the power to transfix me like watching the relentless movement of the ocean or the oncoming of a large storm.

Wonderful, fascinating stuff. And I would advise against tasting someone else's blood. Very, very dangerous

I'd hate to think what my life would be without blood in my veins, so yes, I'd say I'm rather keen on it.

Mine tastes more sour than salty, and metallic, but not overwhelmingly so.

Blood doesn't bother me.

Yes, I think blood is very interesting. I like reading about the different cells and other components of blood (I'm particularly interested in thrombocytes and blood clotting) and sometimes looking at it under a microscope.
