Frankly, I wouldn't dream of trying to spot any spectrum disorder based on a 10 minute video. It takes much more observation than that. Any child on the spectrum may not present anything obvious in a given ten minute time frame. Any child not on the spectrum could show signs. Long term observation is the only good way.

I wasn't speaking to you're diagnosis. I was speaking only to the fact that ten minutes of watching anyone simply isn't enough to form an educated opinion. Nothing personal. I've been through professionals doing the same thing (45 minutes with my son, then saying there's no sign ~ yet he was diagnosed AS later by a doctor that didn't even know we had ever had him seen for it). There is no ASD condition that can be determined that quickly. Anyone can either hide or show ASD like symptoms during a short period. It's long term patterns that really matter. So, when you ask, "can you spot it?" my answer is "No, I can't. Not from a single video clip."

ha don't you love medical professionals? they talk to you for 20 minutes and then makew an assesment. we went through that growing up. the worst battle is with the schoools though they will do anything they cn to reduce the amount of accomidations they make and don't make half the ones they promise to
