I got this too. "Ewww, you're fat and ugly." Or "Why's the sped in our class now? We don't need ret*ds here." That's usually when I revel in being able to read and write circles around the twits. That and I didn't even have to try to get an A in most classes in middle school and high school (except math).
Now in college, I have lots of friends. I get texts asking to hang out and stuff like that. At first I was confused as to what was different with these people that made them accept me. I thought that they were playing a cruel joke so I didn't let them get too close initially. Then some friends asked why I close myself off to others, I told them a variation of this and they understood. I'm accepted by most within my social circle now. I like it. ^_^
