I tried to find a previous post about this but I couldn't. It is easier for me to "see" the internal aspects of AS in myself. But, lately, I have been noticing some physical characteristics as well. Many things fall into a TOO HARD catagory. I pound on keyboards (part of my daily work). I write with a pen so hard that it leaves ghosts through numerous sheets of paper and a deep indentation in my finger. And, ever since I was a child, I walk REALLY hard on my heels. Even got the family nickname "Stompie". At one point, I was even given these weird rub cups to put in the back of my shoes. I also clench my teeth often and so hard that it is cracking the enamel in my teeth. It's almost like my stopping point for pressure is a few inches past the norm.

Similar issues for me-- I am also often "too loud." I think the "too hard" thing is often lumped on with physical clumsiness. I've never had it singled out like this before, so thanks-- I wonder if it has anything to do with the need for pressure or with stimming?

Same here.. As a kid, I sometimes broke my pencil, because I used too much strength. I also walk like an elephant and sometimes push doors too hard so they make a loud noises.
I also clench my teeth, especially when I'm sleeping.

I also talk waaay too loud 8O

Interesting - I had not connected that. Very heavy hand with pen or pencil - or crayon or chalk. Olden days holes in the paper [I squiggled out a lot], brokenn chalk, I cannot use today's extra fine auto pencils.

Heavy fingers on typewriter or any kind of keyboard. Some tendency to walk hard.

I wil;l add these to the list.
