Do You have a favorite word or sentence that you repete over and over? For example I like the word yellow
I dont like the colour but I just like saying and writing the word I always have. I also like the word "Jabberwocky"
from Alice Through The Looking Glass. I like to repete it over I think I just like the sound of it.Ii also gets stuck in my head to.
Does Anyone else do this?

I have words that I say unnecessarily... a lot of times, I end up using a word that sounds pedantic, but I like how it sounds. It's 3:30 AM where I am, though, so I can't think of any right now (yo is a word I use a lot more than I should, but it's not pedantic).

I also do the same thing with drawing. If you were to look through any of my notebooks, you'd find that I draw a LOT of eyes. I don't particularly know why, it just seems natural to me for my hand to move in such motions as to create an eye..

My favorite word is "sesquipedalian."

I really like the word theodolite. I don't repeat it out loud, just play it in my head. It's been a favourite for many years now. I also like transom. I think there's lots of words I'm partial to but I can't think of any more right now, as it's way past my bedtime.

I have two words that I like. They play a part in how well I accept my autism. Kinks and quirks.

"Cocoleecho"

The name of a now largely extinct language spoken in Argentina.
Argentina is a Spanish speaking South American country that had a huge infllux of immigrants from Italy at the turn of the centurey (at the same time Italians were emigrating to the USA). Cocoleecho was a kind of hybrid of Itlalian and Spanish that evolved as a result.
Its a fun word to say.

Among my favorite phrases are "high chapparel" and "Wynonna Ryder".

I dont know whats become of the latter since her shop lifting bust, but even if she werent a good actress who was nice to look at her name would still have a pleasing lilt.

My favorite movie title: "High Wind in Jamaica".

I repeat words in my head at times but it varies. And, true to form, I can't remember the words I typically repeat like that. And if I remember one, I will start repeating it.

I also can forget my repetitive phrases sometimes until they come to me and say them (at home). I don't really want to say them because they're weird and don't make much sense. Some of them are questions but not real questions I guess. I've wondered if I lost my social anxiety this stuff would come out everywhere. But at the same time the anxiety of holding it all in is stressful too.

I'll share this though. When I was younger I liked the word "Shoosh" a lot. I said it enough at home that my mom and older sister bought me a cake with that written on the top. I got from this movie.

This is probably pretty stupid and annoying but I say this phrase when I get excited or for other reasons. If family or my one friend is in the room I say their name first, "so-so, why must I be such a gangster?". She's told me she doesn't know what I'm trying to say when I say them but she finds them strange in a unique way and sometimes funny.
