You've just been diagnosed?

If so, great. :)

Did you recently get a diagnosis to confirm your self diagnosis or something? I'm just wondering why you made this post.

I checked that. It doesn't say if/when it was changed. I also haven't read every post you've even made, nor do I plan to. I had to guess at what the heck you were talking about, because I didn't (and I suspect almost everyone else that would read your post wouldn't either) know the background of why you made this post.

Good for you to go through the process of an evaluation! Yes, sometimes you just know. At least now other people can validate that you know yourself well know to know these things. :)

What makes you sure you have AS? I think I have it. How can I know it with certitude without having to spend a lot of money for a professional diagnosis?
What makes you say "I have it"?

You can't. Certainty is an illusion. Even someone with an official diagnosis can have it "taken away" by another mental health professional.

You don't even need to be certain. You only need to be sure enough that it helps you improve your lot in life.

Looks like a new crowd. Hence the comments. And btw, i could have put something REALLY NASTY at that tinyurl link.

Anyway, the post was intended for some of the regulars, especially the ones that think that only some people are qualified to think. But anyway, i guess that some of those people have moved on (i did, and will do the same now).

I've been a member since 2008. I'm fully aware of the "you don't have AS unless you are officially diagnosed" discussions.

I don't think you gave enough information for people to understand what you were saying, so I tried to help by asking a clarifying question.

As I said before... the info page doesn't tell you when someone changes their diagnosis status. How would someone know that it was recently changed? What sense would this post make without knowing that your diagnosis status changed?

It seems like you are blaming others for not having 100% clarity on your post... that only had 50% of the information required to understand it.
