I've been on several different medications together in the last 2 months and starting very early in the process of dropping one and adding one I started getting a numbness sensation in my face. Have any of you had this kind of side affect with certain anti-depressants/anxiety medications? I could list the ones Ive been on for you to see if you had a similar instance

Paxil(20mg)
Valium
Zoloft(100mg)
Flexirol(muscle relaxant for my back)
Klonopin(same as flexirol)
Buspar
Feldene(anti inflammatory for my back)

I've used Zoloft and Paxil (for that matter many more anti-depressants) and
never had the face numbness. I will do a web search for you to see what i can find.

That sure is a lot of drugs. Personally, I'd get a second opinion, unless you really like your doctor.

oh yeah, I've been on as many as 4 at the same time(paxil flexirol feldene and zoloft) and with all the SSRI's(paxil and zoloft) that were in my system, it shut my back down while I was running a mile and a half test for my job(Im in the air force). My back still hasn't recovered from the sudden impact of the shock. So they started putting me on the flexirol and feldene, then klonopin, valium. I mean, its been a nightmare. Its even harder to get them to get me a specialist to look into asperger's syndrome(I've been diagnosed with PTSD(post traumatic stress disorder) and PDD-NOS(the most generic branding of autistic spectrum disorders, means they don't specialize or know enough about the spectrum to give a true diagnosis on it). My life is great(not really).

I'm guessing you stopped Zoloft and switched to Paxil(or the reverse). I found online
how a lady stopped Paxil and got face numbness. Started it again later and it went
away. I went cold turkey on Zoloft in 1995 and it had some major side effects for
a few weeks. I went cold turkey on Paxil and I felt very bad. How long has the
face numbness lasted (more than 2 weeks)?

Only one, but that didn't seem to help much. The medication that I take now is not for AS.

actually, no machine. I was on zoloft and valium first(started feeling a little numbness) Took me off of valium and put me on flexirol and paxil.(my back was starting to hurt for some reason or another). I was then put on flexirol. My back went out so they put me on Feldene and took me off of the zoloft. flexirol ran out(stopped taking it after that) and my face was still getting numb. Then they took me off the paxil and put me on buspar. Put me on klonopin and it didnt go with the feldene well so I was taken off that. I am no longer on any medicine other than ambien every other night or so, even tho it doesnt help me sleep, even if i take 2 whole pills(people say they can take like 1/2 a pill and get knocked out or start to hallucinate, never happened for me)

I was on Lexapro before I got switched to Paxil and I didn't feel any face numbness sensation. Went I got switched from Ritilan to Stretara (which I know that is misspelled) I didn't get any sensation at all. Now that I'm on Trazadone and Paxil nothing like that has happened.

The face numbness may be from your back. Some people like chiropractors.

You're taking too many meds; hands down.

I don't take any meds. I feel that they make me act weird, and alter some of my personality.

I've been on Buspar for a while, and back in May (about a month after beginning it), I had some rather severe face numbness for about a week.

But it was probably more stress than the medicine. I had accumulated enough stress over the prior month to have a night terror incident.
