I hate it when people lay on their horn while Im driving next to them because the person in front of them has done something to make them angry. It makes me jump out of my skin. I also hate balloons because they pop unexpectedly. So I guess any loud unexpected noise. The sound of lots of people talking also drive me crazy and sometimes when my kids get wired and they are all shrieking and jumping around. I have to remove myself from those types of situations or with my kids I have to calm myself down enough to calm them down....not easy to do!

Vaccuum cleaners and lawnmowers, and anything like those that are loud, mechanical, and change pitch during use.

when people decide to yell at someone in the distance and you are between them. Somehow I am supposed to be deaf to the exchange and pretend it isn't happening. however, I am jumping out of my skin with every shout.

I hate loud cars and motorcycles. Fireworks are driving me crazy right now, and my smoke detector makes a horrible noise when it goes off, which it sometimes does for no reason.

A lot of different sounds give me anxiety, and make it hard to think.

+1.

I live in an older high-rise condo. There are constant repairs and renovations going on here Monday-Friday from 8am-4pm. The sawing, drilling, hammering, etc....is the aural equivalent of chinese water torture. I wear eagplugs constantly when i'm here during those hours. They help....but only marginally.

I also hate harley-davidson motorcycles, mopeds and all such cacophonous
vehicles.

The incessant noise pollution in suburban and urban American society
is just the tip of the iceberg for me.

I truly despise everything about this hideous, ugly, hyper-commercialized,
pre-fabricated, decadent, tawdry, tacky, tasteless, strip-mauled, soulless,
vulgar, nihilistic modern American hellhole of a society. How on earth can
a country like this be defined as "civilized"?

It amazes me that anyone who has a choice in the matter would
choose to live here.

No wonder the few genuinely civilized Americans like Gore Vidal move
to the Italian coast.

This society is absolutely toxic to the human spirit.

I hate:
any loud, unexpected noises (such as balloons popping)
the scream/wail of a child (it's WAY too shrill)
The sound of too many people talking
and sirens. I just don't know where to move to, or what to do. I instantly grow afraid, and cover my ears.

The sound of newspaper crumbling. I can smell it and sort of feel it beneath my teeth whenever I hear that noise.

Chewing. I hate hearing people chew. It makes me so mad and so disgusted.

I love sirens though. Soothing.

Dental Drills hurts my ears and behind my eyes
Hair clippers and the feeling of them on my neck makes me retch and itch all over
Fire sirens hurts my ears and the base of my neck
Smoke detector test beeps hurts my ears

People who breathe through their noses while eating this makes me nervous and anxious
The sound crackling glass makes my body itchy
Suprise barks from my dog Otis hurts my ears
Whistles like gym teachers use hurts my ears and behind my eyes
any form of rap music make disgusted with humanity
The scraping of knives on plates hurts my ears
CNC lathes made me nervous and anxious
