And my mother is amazing. I wasn't planning to do anything, just a normal day for me, but I got a card and my mother had drawn a rat in it (my special interest), and said she was taking me to a rat show today!! ! A few minutes later she said at the rat show, she'd contacted a breeder so I could have my very own rats (three boys!), who's meeting us at the show to hand them over. (I have a proper cage set up etc as it's my special interest and it's the perfect size and well-maintained etc, but as long as I've had it it's been uninhabited.)
She gave me the breeders number because she knows if I ever got rats I'd want to be sure they're a good breeder, so I rung her, and she's excellent, very ethical, and friends with a woman I really respect and like in the local rat community.

So yup. Good day. :heart: Setting off in an hour!!

And tomorrow I'm having a Bioshock themed party with friends hehe, everyone's dressing up.
