being socially handicapped, is a symptom of "aspergers" that i can more or less live with.

But being inflicted with obsessive doubts, when doing data entry work... (poor short term memory?)

Having the compulsive urge to check and recheck because of lack of confidence in memory and feelings of doubt... can't remember it very well.. plus afraid to make a mistake

could be ocpd as well.

I don't think that would be what is entirely considered OCD, it's definitely some compulsion, but I don't know, I'm not a psychologist. Things like that can be attributed to Asperger syndrome I think, and anxiety disorders (such as OCD) are common co-morbid conditions. Your best bet, if it's bothering you, is to talk to a psychologist, psychiatrist, or family doctor about your concerns.
