Had a debate with a friend on something like politics or religion where you held opposing views. And you've walked away thinking, "that was a really stimulating discussion, I really enjoyed that", only to find out later that your friend has been really upset by the whole thing and considered it a personal attack and damaging to your friendship?

Nope. When it comes to debates, I'm always the person who gets their feelings hurt.

All the time. Actualy, I'm quite pissed with a friend of my mom's who thinks she's my friend too(maybe she is I don't know) who said everyone needs friends and that I need to get out more. Whenever people give the the "everyone needs friends" BS, I personaly want to strangle them. I don't think I will be talking to her for a while.

If someone admits they support experminting on and abuse animals, I sever all ties with them forever. I simply refuse to associate with those kind of people. I refuse to associate with a lot of people but these are at the very top of people I refuse to associate with.

I've been on the receiving end of it. I am sure I have caused it, but I do not immediately recall any specifics.

Same. I hate debating. I always either get persuaded to the other side, or feel bad for not agreeing with someone.

Yes, with one particular person. Other than with this person I am usually on the other end of it , though. C'est la vie.
