I was at school today and even though Im in high school its a school for autism. And we get lots of breaks and this afternoon I was working on a puzzle with one of my class mates and my mom suddenly walked into the classroom. She said "Its time to go!" She was picking me up early! I knew it couldnt be good and I felt my face turn red. I told my teacher that something bad was going to happen and that I had to go. He said "I hope every thing is ok." I replied with "yeah." and Walked out. I walked into the hall and asked my mom why I had to leave. She said "The dog is in the car!" With a smile on her face. I asked her again where we were going. She said "You and your little brother are going to the dentist." I felt tears fill my eyes and my heart started to race. I walked out to the car with her and my brother.
Once we got to the dentist my mom took the dog out of the car. The dog is a service dog for my little brother because he has type 1 diabetes. But this time she was there to help me. When we walked into the waiting room I sat in a chair in a ball and cried. I really hate the dentist! The lady in the office told me it was my turn. But then she saw that I was crying and she came up to me and hugged me. She told me I was going to be ok. She took my hand and brought me into the room and I sat down in the chair and cried some more. She was really nice to me and I stopped crying because I trusted her. Before she started cleaning my teeth my mom brought the dog in the room and let me hold the leash. The dog licked the tears off my face and then she rested her chin on my legs. She sat and watched as the lady cleaned my teeth. I felt so much better because I knew the dog was there and holding her leash made me happy knowing that she was there. It was the best dentist trip I have ever had! Normally I fight them and try to get away and not sit in the chair. But I didnt do that because the dog made me feel better. And all the people in the whole dentists office loved the dog. :)

That is awesome!! I wish I could turn one of my dogs into a service dog for times like that.
You are lucky to have such a good canine friend :D

Aww.
I'd take my dog everywhere if I could. He comforts me like no other.
