What makes a good guardian?

I am working on a guardianship project for my law school (yes I am autistic too, weird huh lol) and I am being asked to research how a guardian can help someone with a neurological disability (I assume autism fits into that somewhere... such a broad category really) and was interested in getting the perspective of some people who may have been in a guardianship situation before or just knows how they are helped by the people around them. So... yea... shoot away
