Second! It definitely needs to be on the homepage! I've already started promoting it on Facebook and am looking forward to helping organize the event, contributing and participating.

^ Hah, forum bugs again...
After you made that post the thread reappeared on the index, stickied like it always has been.
I saw a comment a while back about a similarly misbehaving thread in the Art, Writing, and Music forum that managed to re-sticky itself.

I am thinking of going to Autscape in August and wondered if anyone would be so kind as to offer any advice, like is staying at the convent better for someone who needs peace and quiet at night? Thanks.

I'm personally hosting and organizing a large even in August at a beachfront park in Seattle for my 600+ member Aspie social group, and would be more than happy to function as a sort of WP mini convention for PNW Aspies in the area. Anyone with questions just PM me, I'll be around.

It's a cool, low key event, everyone brings their lawn furniture, I haul out this huge welded together grill that I have, and we do a big aspie bbq on the beach.

Could be a great thing.
I'm curious what sorts of talks would be permitted/focused on, i.e. if some topics are censored/taboo/this isn't the appropriate venue for them.
I spent Saturday at Tedx Vancouver listening to some fantastic speakers share their stories & it really reminded me to live a life's story worth telling.
While I'm still writing my story (not literally, I mean living my life.), I feel I have quite the tale to tell from my last two years' experience of successfully treating my symptoms & making rapid improvements in health/work/sports/finances/life.
Vegas is a quick drive across the border & a cheap flight and accomodations - which is why it's a popular conference spot & the one I would vote for over Hollywood.
edit: Just realized the OP is 3+ years old. Meh, whatever.
