2. First person shooters
3. Martial arts/fighting sports
4. The brain
5. Firearms
6. Sexual stuff
7. South Park

Here's a list of my current ones...:

  • computers / code
  • traditional american tattoo art (finding it, making it, posting it...) & psychobilly / rockabilly music (that would mean playing / writing and listening to...)
  • Wrong Planet and Asperger's
  • spiders
  • black and red (the colors)

That's all I got at this time in my life. I think I'll try to make a list of all the obsessions I've ever been through! :lol:

OK, let's see...

  • Unionism (that is, the belief in the preservation of the Union between all parts of the United Kingdom)
  • Geography
  • Flags (particularly ones related with Britain and overseas dependencies. In fact, the British Empire and the remaining UK overseas territories are an interest on their own. I'd like to visit one someday, the most likely one being Gibraltar next year)
  • Lancashire (the county where I have lived all my life)
  • Photography
  • Computers and the Internet
  • Politics, and more specifically, civil liberties (I would say I am on the libertarian end of the spectrum. In the UK there is no party that really caters to libertarian beliefs. UKIP is in the right area but they aren't credible and the Liberal Democrats are an authoritarian, statist joke)
  • Books (this is an occasional and not very strong interest - I don't tend to read that much but when I do it's always non-fiction)
  • Visiting places (I like to visit places, have a look around, take some pictures and come home and upload them to Flickr, where others can see them)
  • The colour orange (This is a strange one for me. I don't know why I like the colour so much, but there you go)

1337, in Leetspeak, means "Leet."

L = 1
E = 3
E = 3
T = 7

It's the most current form of Leetspeak that was created in the early days of PC computing. "Leet" means Elite. It probably originated from early hackers and Phreakers (the earliest known hackers who hacked phone systems. The father of all hacking started with a guy nicknamed "Captain Crunch."). Somewhere along the way, the numerology came into play where numbers represented letters. As stated above.

Somewhere along the way, "Elite" evolved into "Leet." and "Leet" evolved into 1337.

As far as my own obsessions, it slowly changes from one thing to another.

My main obsession is now fading and I don't think it will be coming back into swing any time soon. It's art. I'm an artist and I lived for my art up until the last few years. I used to love art so much that I was a man posessed. I drew and painted and sketched all day long. But that has changed. I'm no longer that man.

In the past, I have obsessed over gaming, computers, the internet in general, architecture, And probably a million other little things that came in short waves but which I don't rmember any more. Whatever I've done in the past, I haven't done anything half-assed. You know the routine...

But the fact I'm no longer the artist I used to be is scaring me. If I'm anything - I'm an artist. And if I'm no longer an artist, then what am I? It was the only identity I ever had.
