People often mistake me for being several years younger than I am. I never knew this was common among those with AS...

Not me, always looked a little older. I developed an adult-ish physique, facial strucutre and facial hair earlier than many of my peers, and my hairline started receding earlier too.

Wow, I would think you were in your twenties judging by that picture. It's nice to see other people who do youth-oriented things like skate boarding in spite of their age.

People have always mistaken me for a younger age. I remember when I first joined my church's choir where the minimum age was 21. The lady at the recruitment table was like, "Are you an adult?" and I was in my mid-twenties. Hey what can I say? Black don't crack.

I'm 39 and people generally don't know how to treat me when they realise how old I am but I don't really think I look young I just look after myself.

I used to, very much so. But now, in my mid 50s I think that the youngness is catching up with me, lol.

At 45 years of age I could pass for 25.

I have been told I look like a 16 yo youngster when I am actually 22. I think it also has to do with the fact that my beard wont grow more than in a few places

I don't know if either my mother or one of my aunts is an Aspie, I am pretty sure they are, I just do not know it for a fact. Anyhow they where fully grown 1.75 mts and sexually developed by when they where 14, they could have passed fora couple of 21 yo from a very early age.

I'm 18 and people often mistake me for a middle schooler. Aggravating at times, yes, but I've gotten used to it.

I'm 19 but always confused for younger. It's OK sometimes because you can buy the cheaper option, for example on the bus. I'm not sure how good this is though, because I had to do this the other week and the bus driver made me feel so guilty for not being in school. I was just like, 'oh, but I'm usually in school, really'... yes I don't really like doing that. At university, people have thought I'm a child prodigy which is also embarrassing. I think it's because, 1. I'm really short, 2. I have a round face, 3. I think I act 'childishly' (why the bus driver teased me about not being in school...) 4. I mostly just wear jeans, t-shirt etc.

I'm nearly 23 and have been asked many times if I'm under or over 18.

I'm thirty and people always think I'm around 15. I had to show I.D. to get some Nyquil last year and when did they start asking for I.D. just to buy Nyquil? Is that really necessary?

Are you sure it was ID for age? If it was in the USA, they now have to keep a log of all purchases of anything that contains ephedra (and I think some types of NyQuil do). If they just looked at your ID and did not write it in a book or swipe it in a reader, then it indeed was for age due to the alcohol

The most outlandish age-ID'ing I've had in the recent years, was for spray paint at a hardware store. You must be 18 in California to buy or possess it.

Well, if you know about the "How Old Does Jess Look Game?", you might know that I often look older, even though I'm only 15.

a customs officer thought my daughter and i were twins. she is 17, almost 18... but she LOOKS 21 to 25. since i look younger than my age we sort of appear close in age. a bank employee thought i was her *younger* sister once, too. i get carded for alcohol sometimes, though they tend to ID people who look under 30 around here.
