Does Autism London attract the same crowd as Contact and Danda?

Ok, I am assuming that one is directed at me?
I am a 29 year old male (self diagnosed with AS) living in west London. I am into sustainable living including permaculture and guerilla gardening. I enjoy walks in nature. I would like to meet up with other people with AS to socialise and also share the experience of living with AS. I'd also like to meet those who are diagnosed with AS. I am fairly high functioning and have overcome a lot of hurdles that happened in my early and mid twenties.
Should you have any other questions please let me know.

Thanks

Not sure about Autism London, Contact or Danda as I have never been to any of those groups.

Yep, it was directed at you! I'm a 24 year old female living near London. I'm looking for more people to socialise with too. And I like walking, I want to do some walks when my exams are over. Maybe we could swap a few PMs.

I enjoy trips to London would be tempted to come along and meet some new people who think along the same lines.

I'd vote for an option involving a beer but i'm easy going either way :)

Since I'm new here I'd like to get to know people better first but I'd be interested in meeting up in the future :)

Hello,

I am interested in the possibility of meeting other people with AS in London. I noticed from other posts that there have been meetups in the past in London with visits to the Science Museum, Natural History Museum and other locations.
Is anyone else into this idea?

Thanks.

Sorry for my late reply -Only just spotted this.
I went to a LDN meetup organised by gemstone and wolfheart earlier this year. On the basis of that one I'd definitely be up for another. I don't live in London but the train is easy and quick (+-105mins) for me.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I have been contacting some of the organisers of previous meet-ups to see if they would be interested in hosting/attending one in London this summer.

That's how I feel too. Nothing personal, I'm sure you're all great people, but I still don't like to do it. What if I got all the way there and nobody else turned up? Could happen.

I hear what you're saying Joe90. Perhaps we could all share mobile numbers before hand so that we can keep in contact on meet-ups?

As I am new here and have never met anyone from the forum, I am reluctant to organise a meet-up in London on my own.
But should anyone want to arrange a meet-up in London and need assistance, I will help in anyway I can.
I am also up for attending any London based meet-ups should someone go ahead and organise one.

I took that risk, and I came all the way down from leafy Lancashire!

Ok what about a meet-up in late June. How does Saturday 23rd June sound? Meet-up in Trafalgar Sq outside the National Portrait Gallery (same as last meet-up). We could walk to St James Park (weather dependent) and perhaps go to a pub?

Any thoughts?

Cool. Gemstone123 has said she is available to come on that day too. So that makes 3 able to go on this day so far (including myself)

Sounds like it could be good (obviously weather permitting as you pointed out)...Although I have an awesome pink waterproof so I can go either way. I think a walk and then a pub is always a good combo. I would also be up for going on a proper canal or London route walk if that was people wanted to.
