Is is an aspie trait to be extremely anxious for something that is supposed to happen? Even if you know what will happen?

I'm not just talking about, like, Christmas morning excitement. I ordered a sweatshirt online, and it came today, but I'm not at my mom's house to get it until later today. So all I've been doing is thinking about it. I know it's a sweatshirt, no surprises... But I'm still extremely excited for it.

Along with this sometimes comes disappointment. When you anxiously await something to happen and you expect it to go one way, and then you get upset if it doesn't happen like you expected it to...

Is this an aspie trait?

Probably. I like to have control over things, and when things go wrong, or not the way I planned, it really bothers me.

I think a lot of people have that. Personally, I don't get excited that easily but when I do I'm really excited.

I'm totally like this!

If I'm expecting a package, I'll be checking the UPS tracking website several times per hour!

The last time I ordered something by UPS it took 6 days to get from Seattle to L.A. I googled 'UPS intentionally sits on packages' and I entertained myself by reading an hour's worth of thread from others who had a ridiculously long wait. Sure enough, after I expected the drivers to bug out for the day the truck rumbles up and my dog starts her psycho barking. Shipping time right on schedule as quoted by EBay

Certainly, anything related to my projects gets my wires jazzed up into a tight, impatient coil. But I have discovered the beauty of looking forward to something. If I didn't have something to anticipate, I might cease to exist.
