Probably a mixed breed of Active but Odd and Stilted. I have lots of AS traits and score high on AS testing. But most of them aren't things that people see immediately. And over the years I've learned to cope with some things and have just gotten better with others. And some - my socialibility -- is probably only enhanced because I'm on medication for anxiety. I have the feeling that should I choose to get off the meds -- NOT going to happen. Daily panic attacks aren't fun -- my friendliness and social akills would noticeably deteriorate,

Active but odd....

Stilted to the degree that I had acting lessons as a kid and had to mimic body language. That helped a little. Parents knew something was wrong but thought I was just unique. School placing was VERY tough.

But, mostly active but odd...

Probably bits and pieces from both passive and stilted.

I'm recognizing myself in not all but most of the various aspects in all of those groupings, and have moved in and out of each at different stages of my life, the "Passive" decription best fitting my childhood and early teens, but bits of everything has been part of my life in a fluid interchanging way.

I'm diagnosed now!...Currently, I more so fit the description of 'Active-but-odd', but am edging towards 'stilted'.

I would say somewhere between Passive and Stilted. More Passive as a kid.

I would say I am 75% Passive and 25% Active but Odd, based on the traits described. Maybe 50/50.

Stilted probably describes me best, though I can relate with some aspects of Active But Odd.

Hmmm.....I think I would probably have fit in the passive category until early adulthood. Now I think I'm mostly "active but odd", with the occasional foray on good days to "stilted".

I was active-but-odd from the age of 2 or so, them became more passive as I got older due to not fitting in or finding things in common with others. As an adult I'm probably more in the stilted category, but I can come off as passive with people I don't know well due to other issues. I'm coming to the conclusion I have a lot of avoidant and borderline personality traits and big problems with executive functioning on top of any autism related social issues. It's the combination of all this crap that makes living on my own hard.

I'm also active but odd most of the time when it's just me at home (naturally, being around family too; though that's just one person now).

When the social context ramps up, I just move further down now as an adult, but also when a teenager.
